Board Minutes for January 12th, 2011

Welcome back everyone, Floor Meetings: The first floor meeting of the semester will be next Friday (1/21) at 6pm. We will be taking a vote to decide if they will remain at that time or take place at 7pm. If not enough people are willing to sacrifice some time on Fridays, the floor meetings will be held on Wednesdays at 11pm, as originally planned. Activities Fair: We have a table at the Activities Fair, which is this Friday (1/21) from 2 until 3:15. Please stop by and tell people good things about CIF! Dues ($20): These will be due on or before the February 16th board meeting. If you have a problem getting dues in by that time, email or find me before February 16th. Game Night: The first game night of the semester will be held on Saturday the 22nd at 8pm. We will be having pizza. CIF + URSGA Event: We want to have a private game night with URSGA sometime between the January and February game nights. More discussion will follow as plans materialize and a date is set. Tech: If you are interested in joining Tech Staff or having a more active role, talk to Joe. There might be LaTex classes in the lab. These will be aimed at Linguistics, Math and Computer Science students. More to follow as plans are made. Recruiting: Esty and John are going to contact professors holding introductory computer science and a few math classes to draw in members. We did this last semester and hope to continue with this effort. That's all for now, Robin Pease
