• All appointed positions can gain up to one point a month based on how well they perform
  • 5 is default if you did all the work that was required of you (Tommy)
• Must show up to the meetings you are asked to attend or you don’t get the points
  • Can let us know what meeting time works for you preferably as soon as possible before the month starts so we can plan ahead
• Lab lord: keep the lab tidy and take trash out when necessary
• Sysadmin: will be outlined in detail later when things are more fleshed out
• Flyboy: pester people to get the flyers put up to ensure they’re actually put up (even if they put them all up themselves, it still counts)
• Hall council rep: coordinate with hall council
  • Cheese tasting event cosponsor? 😮 (board approves of this suggestion)
• Paparazzi: go to events and take pictures to send to board
• Kitchen goddess: keep up the good work (thumbs up emoji)
• Tech stuff: getting new network switches that should get floor up to gigabyte internet, plans for security stuff around March, DNS server changes (web services might temporarily go down during the transition period if that happens)
• Board will be getting Rochester.edu emails soon (Austin)
• Tech seminar should be fairly straightforward, as a reminder:
  • This coming Saturday, Feb 16, 3-4 pm in Douglass 403
• Advertise the seminar to CS classes and people and stuff (Isabel)
• Events: Game night coming the weekend after the tech seminar (Sat Feb 23) (Tommy)
• Dance through the ages Fri 22 with ICLC co-sponsorship event (Dan)
• CSH wants to co-host a Minecraft server with us (from RIT) (Austin)
• SIH tabling scheduled for Fri 15 7-9 pm Hirst Lounge (Tommy)
  • Make a facebook event
• More tabling Fri 22 11 am – 1 pm Hirst Lounge (lunchtime rush at WilCo) (Tommy)
• We all clapped for Josh Hyde for painting the tunnel thank u <3
• Fire safety inspection coming up in the next few weeks
• Polling people to see who is planning to keep living on floor for next year
• Money stuff: Cameras for the lab are going to be SD card based rather than computer-feed
  • Battery is better and this setup is affordable and functional
  • About $20 a camera for four cameras and $10 per SD card
• Review of our impromptu board meeting: 3-person max housing block with median of the point totals (numbers to be run, but sounds like a good idea and improvement)
• Two-sided receipt for buying things from people for dues replacements
• Josh Cohen had some weird things to say
• Movie nights: plan one sometime (need more events since we increased points quota)
• CIFx talk ideas: next week, Josh Coppola and Ethan will be giving their talks
• Need dates for CIFnic and formal game night (figure out what works for alumni)
  • Should do CIFnic before Passover
  • Weekend of April 13-14
  • Same weekend for both events traditionally

  • Better minutes organization? I’ll see what I can do :3
    • Post-meeting addition: I added some underlines to where I briefly introduce some topics to try to make it organized a bit better but conversation flow does make it difficult sometimes; let me know if there are more specific suggestions you had and if I can accommodate them I’ll try my best!
  • Please write respectful suggestions if you want us to be able to respond to them in a reasonable way; come to board meetings if you have some concerns that you feel super strongly about! We can’t reply to suggestions directly from the box but if you’re very upset about something there should be a dialogue between board and the individual so we can come up with solutions!
