- Prospective member interview for Liam
- Participation point values for appointed positions:
- Kitchen goddess: 1 for standard (extra for exceptional work, determined at the end of the semester based on monthly meetings)
- Lab lord: 1 for standard (could increase after seeing how it goes this semester)
- Sysadmin: 1 for standard (may change as the semester goes on, we have to see)
- Flyboy: no points for standard; commission-style point granting
- One point for game night flyering, one point for tech seminars? (Jason)
- Could be on a monthly basis determined at the meeting (John)
- Hall council rep: 2 for standard (potential for 3 if it’s done well)
- Ideas:
- All positions could have up to 1 point a month (Josh)
- Don’t expect to get a point every month (Jason) – encourages people to come to the review meeting (Dan)
- Rate from 0-1 every month for performance and tally them up at the end of the semester and round down for points granted (Lloyd) – amended previous minutes to reflect this new decision
- Could be disproportionate for positions with multiple people (Austin)
- Make a sign-in sheet for who’s doing what, esp for lab lord (John)
- Don’t grant the points unless they show up to the board meeting (Austin); offer two options of meetings they can attend (Josh)
- Positions should meet with the specific board member they’re relevant to unless they are too general, in which case they meet with all of board (John)
- Paparazzi: no points for standard, using monthly system 0-1 rating
- Family science day (STEM initiative): decision by Feb 13; Sat Apr 20 from 1-4 pm in Rettner
- Bring games people made for kids to play, but remember that they are young (Isabel)
- Bring hardware to show to kids and explain what things are (Austin)
- ICLC Co-sponsorship for Dance Through the Ages: need 5 people to attend Feb 22 7-11 Feldman
- ICLC movie showing overlaps with our tech seminar but only need to send one person Feb 16 3-6 in Morey 321
- Suggestion box (aside from nep, sosig, get a better box, etc):
- Command strips for cable management in lab (Velcro)
- Cutting board, small pot, public seasonings/spices
- Compressed air for the lab
- Dustpan
- (More) soap for kitchen
- New lab chairs
