April 15 Board Meeting
Attendees: Isabel Anderson, Linda Vasavong, Josh Cohen, Tommy Hanson, Andrew Soborowski

• Board has discussed housing and it is looking good
• Board has discussed the recent weekend events
o Board should be more cognizant of needing cage access
o Don’t do Josh’s job beforehand
o We should have better contingency plans
• Board has discussed the upcoming tech seminar, Sunday the 29th from 1 to 2 in Douglass 401
o It will be a csc 171-172 review session
• Board had discussed amending the constitution
o Regarding members leaving near housing meeting
o Regarding awarding the Nauticoc award to non-sophomores
o Regarding housing points applying to people moving out of suites
o Regarding seniors being forced to live in game suite
o Regarding housing points, super singles, and seniority
• Family science day is this Saturday, 1 to 4
o Will get a spreadsheet
• Board has discussed buying wii remotes and updating the AV system

The Constitution has been ratified. Co-Presidency is now official and associates no longer exist.

Upcoming Events:

• CIFGiving (11/19): We need more people to bring food/related items, and are giving out points per item brought!
• SIH Winterfest (Dec 4): We will need people to table/present, and of course, simply show up
• CIF-Greenspace Collab (11/18, 3:30-5): Please show up if you are at all interested in sustainable technology (there will also be a CS related talk)!

Upcoming Events:

• Tech Seminar coming up on the 12th, will be on LaTeX  (time/location TBD)
• Minecraft Night coming up
• CIFGiving coming up later on (please fill out the RSVP form), and volunteer to bring things

Election/Nominations

• Positions up for nominations include Co-Presidents (one person can nominate themselves although 2 are encouraged), Logistics, Junior Tech Director, and Secretary-Treasurer
• Elections will be happening on the 13th (the next floor meeting)
• Even if you are not running, it’s important to attend
• Nominees will have to pass an easy constitution quiz (probably open book) if they are elected
• New officers will have the support of previous board members with many years of experience (called Shadowboard)
• If you want to nominate yourself, please reach out to Board and notify Sarah if possible so you can be added to the list of candidates
• Currently, there are no nominees for Presidents
