Senior Shirts: We plan on giving the seniors shirts for people to write stuff on like last year. There is a very good chance they will be distributed during the floor meeting. The sizes will most likely all be large.

CSUG LAN Party: This Saturday at 1:30pm in CSB 601. CIF is donating cables, and it would be great if anyone who knows how to set up a LAN party would go to the event and help out. There will be pizza.
Pi++: On 4/14, most likely from 12-4. We are getting the pies from Connections. If anyone has declining that they could donate, please tell board.

LaTeX: This Saturday at 2pm in the lab. The class is being taught by former CIFer Hoss Firooznia. It will last for an hour-ish and you will learn the basics of LaTex.

LaTeX Class: The date is 3/19, but we do not have a specific time slot yet. It will be held in the lab. The class will be taught using the the Windows flavor of LaTeX, as it is installed on the lab computers. We encourage you to bring your laptops if you already have LaTeX installed, as we are not sure if there are enough desktops for everyone. The class will cover the basics and run for around an hour.

Yay! We have a new member: Bryce Sprecher.
LaTeX Class: The tentative date for the event, which will be held in the lab, is during the weekend of February 18th. A former CIFer, Hoss Firooznia, is willing to teach the class. We will be co-hosting the event with SUMS. As of right now, the class will be held once this semester.
Advertising: CIF has a table in Wilson Commons this Friday from 2-7pm. If you are free during that time, please stop by and help us tell people about CIF and why they should join.
CIF + URSGA Event: Open to all CIF and URSGA members! This is on Saturday, February 5th. There will be chips, soda and root beer floats.

Floor Meetings: The first floor meeting will take place this Friday at 6pm. There will be a vote to decide when to hold the subsequent meetings. The choices have been revised to: Fridays at 5pm or Fridays at 6pm. If neither time is acceptable, the meetings will be held Wednesdays at 11pm.
Game Night: Just a reminder that the first game night will be this Saturday at 8pm.
Magic Draft: CIF will be providing space for a Magic draft. Depending on the number of people in attendance, this will either be on floor or in the lab. It will most likely occur on Saturday 2/12 at 12:30pm, and there will be chips and soda.
LaTeX Class: Esty talked to one of the co-presidents of SUMS, who is interested in co-hosting the event and might be providing pizza. No date for the class is set as of now.
LAN Party: We are working on the logistics of co-hosting the LAN parties that CSUG organizes. These are held in the Computer Studies Building. More information to follow when we hear more from them.

Welcome back everyone,
Floor Meetings: The first floor meeting of the semester will be next Friday (1/21) at 6pm. We will be taking a vote to decide if they will remain at that time or take place at 7pm. If not enough people are willing to sacrifice some time on Fridays, the floor meetings will be held on Wednesdays at 11pm, as originally planned.
Activities Fair: We have a table at the Activities Fair, which is this Friday (1/21) from 2 until 3:15. Please stop by and tell people good things about CIF!
Dues ($20): These will be due on or before the February 16th board meeting. If you have a problem getting dues in by that time, email or find me before February 16th.
Game Night: The first game night of the semester will be held on Saturday the 22nd at 8pm. We will be having pizza.
CIF + URSGA Event: We want to have a private game night with URSGA sometime between the January and February game nights. More discussion will follow as plans materialize and a date is set.
Tech: If you are interested in joining Tech Staff or having a more active role, talk to Joe. There might be LaTex classes in the lab. These will be aimed at Linguistics, Math and Computer Science students. More to follow as plans are made.
Recruiting: Esty and John are going to contact professors holding introductory computer science and a few math classes to draw in members. We did this last semester and hope to continue with this effort.
