- Appointed positions will have to meet with board every month to discuss what they have done that month, on the first board meeting of the month that is not followed by a floor meeting

- Will start requesting participation point nicknames soon

- Decision: announce that it will be tracked but not have a subquota (Tommy)
- Dues could stay at $25, though with inflation from past $20 dues should be about $30 today (Austin); could consider increasing them next semester but we have enough money now

- Sterritt has insisted on paying his dues right now
- Budget: tech is waiting to hear from IT before allocating budget; budget is due the first board meeting after the second floor meeting

- About $400-500 from last semester still able to be used for tech (Andrew)
- $150 approved for whatever tech director sees fit; likely cameras (Josh C)
- Allocate normal tech budget for this semester on top of rollover (Josh C)

- Tech updates from meeting with IT person:
- He seems responsive to helping and wants to provide a lot; list of requests are a work in progress (Josh C)
- New mail server is being migrated to gmail, but this could still change again
- Website is still being updated, attempting to change constitution on the site (Austin)

- Once things are updated, everyone will have to make a new lab account (Austin)
- Could put up a poster on the lab door asking people to make new lab accounts (Austin); put up in advance so people are fully aware
- Could do a google form survey on how people use the lab (Austin)
- Could put it in the suggestion box instead; will be making that soon
- Going to ask for opinions on constitution stuff: housing blocks and nauticock award (Josh C)
- Contribution points should also be brought up (John) â after floor meeting
- Fully explain the purpose of every change to the constitution, even minor ones
- Email should be sent to member applicants soon to arrange an interview (Tommy)
- Poll to floor asking who plans to stay goes out around mid- to late February (John)

- On this coming Friday (Feb 1) around 6pm, Austin will be giving a talk on Docker and containers (software stuff); anyone interested can attend, recommended for CS majors

- Suggested workshop on how to build a computer (Josh C)
- Should plan this several weeks in advance (John)
- Not necessarily this semester, so we have time to get hardware (Josh C)
- Should advertise heavily because many people will be interested (Dan)
- Could make event right around housing time to draw people in (Josh C)
- Feb 17-23 tentative SIH weekend (Tommy); probably wonât be able to make this event before SIH weekend as preferred/planned
- Game night: SIH game night theme; Feb 23; posters should start being made
- Meet CIF before it; 7:30 pm before game night (which is at 8)
- Could move tech seminar to be closer to SIH weekend but it might be difficult
- Will have to change room reservation (John)
- Austin and Lloyd are fine with changing the time, the room will be the main difficulty
- Since it is still early it could be easier than expected to move the room reservation
- Will be moved to Feb 16
- Should schedule movie nights (Andrew)
- Constitution art showcase will be on Sat, March 2 around 2 pm (Dan); held in the lab
- Will include a dramatic reading and interpretive art, people are welcome to join in
- Projected group bonding-type event early in the semester similar to Donât Freeze (Tommy)
- Board game design game jam (Jason); video game design prof could help (Lucas)
- Scratchathon/hackathon (Josh C); will be entertaining; RocHacks could cosponsor (Austin) but will need to discuss dates
- Mid-Feb is already pretty packed (Tommy); suggested after spring break around Wed or Thurs (Dan)
- Could have a more generic, less niche event planned as well (Austin)
- Talk to data science and CS council (John)
- Planning movie night/s (Tommy); more general bonding event separately (Dan)
- In the past we held a party thing in the rec room under Wilder (John)
- Big jackbox event (Josh H); would need multiple games going on (Dan)
- Could hold this simultaneously with firepit event (Dan & John)
- Scratchathon could be later in the semester (Josh C), not as a study break
- Could contact WIC/Women in Computing for hackathon related things (Austin)
- AIF, URSGA, Kendo interested in co-sponsoring a game night (Tommy)
